The Uniformed Patrol Division is the most visible component of the Police Department. The Patrol Division consists of 24 patrol officers, four sergeants, and four lieutenants who are the primary provider of police services for the residents of Morris Township. View a listing of officers.
Surrounding the urban center of Morristown, the Patrol Division serves a daytime population of approximately 50,000 over an area of 15.8 square miles. The Patrol Division responds 24 hours a day, 365 days year to crimes in progress, medical emergencies, motor vehicle crashes, alarms, and a never ending variety of service calls.
Our operational goal is to provide the very best police service possible and to ensure the service we provide meets the needs of the community.
