Please refer to the available documents and links to assist you in completing a Firearms Application. Two copies of the application, both need an original signature, can be returned to the Detective Bureau. A copy of the consent for mental health form must accompany your application and must have an original signature. A detective will contact you in reference to your application once it is submitted.
All applicants that require fingerprinting will be directed to Sagem Morpho. Once your application is submitted, the Detective Bureau will provide you with directions for Sagem Morpho Fingerprinting. The total time to process an application is based on the number of applicants received each week.
You may drop off paperwork as a courtesy to the Records Bureau during normal business hours, but all questions must be directed to the Morris Township Detective Bureau Firearms Unit at 973-326-7477.
