Certain activities require fire safety permits which shall be issued by the Fire Prevention Bureau.
When a permit is required, an application(see Fire Permit Application-download for esignature) must be submitted, along with appropriate fee, and any other required material.
Applications will be reviewed and processed, and a fire safety permit will be issued upon satisfactory inspection.
Current fee schedule for fire safety permits as per N.J.A.C. 5:70-2.9:
- Type – 1 Permit $54.00
- Type – 2 Permit $214.00
- Type – 3 Permit $427.00
- Type – 4 Permit $641.00
