Responsibilities
The Zoning Department reviews all applications for building permits, grading permits, and site plans submitted to the Planning Board and Board of Adjustment to determine compliance with the Township of Morris Zoning Requirements found in Chapter 95 of the township codes.
The Zoning Office also maintains a schedule of inspections of the various township neighborhoods observing conditions to determine if violations are occurring where zoning approvals are required but not submitted and the construction of improvements without proper building permits.
